Oval Body Brush (Dry Brush)
The intention of dry brushing is to brush the skin while it is dry. This way of exfoliating can increase blood circulation without stripping moisture. The best time to dry brush is just before a shower where you can wash off any dead flaky skin cells. Be sure to apply lotion afterward to hold the moisture in.
Brush toward the heart starting at the feet to ankles, ankles to knees... and work your way in sections upward in long fluid strokes on limbs and circular motions on torso and back. We tend to be a bit more sensitive on the abdomen and breasts, so lighter pressure her is recommended. The whole body should take about 5 minutes. This is some serious self care time.
We suggest that you do not brush skin that is broken, including cuts, scrapes, lesions, and sunburns. Never brush over areas of infection, redness or general irritation, inflammation, orcellulitis. Stop dry brushing if skin becomes irritated or inflamed. We do not recommend using the brush on your neck or face.
